The Boathouse offers one of the best restaurant/cafe locations in Melbourne. Perched on the banks of the Maribyrnong and nestled amongst gums and wattles with sloping grassy banks and post-card river views, make it the ideal spot for you to unwind and enjoy some of life's pleasures.

Operating as a cafe whilst serving up restaurant quality food made entirely in-house by our qualified chefs. We are proud to have been part of our guests dining calendars since 2005. Renowned for our wood fired pizza's which are some of the best in Melbourne and our signature cheese cake, which has been nominated to the list of Melbourne's best dessert.

While bookings are preferred to secure your table, walk-ins are welcome.
Yes, free street parking is available for all guests. Please be aware that due to public events which occur throughout the year, parking may be limited. We advise that you arrive early to secure a car park.
Yes, all types of functions and events can be held at The Boathouse. No matter they size, we can accommodate your event.
- Monday and Tuesday 9 am to 4 pm. Kitchen closes by 3 pm.
- Wednesday to Friday, 9 am to late
- Saturday and Sunday 8.30 am to late
Yes, The Boathouse is wheelchair accessible. When you make your booking, please let us know if any of your guests are in a wheelchair or walker so that we may accommodate for them in advance.
We allow pets on the lower deck of our terrace. Please secure your pets leash to the side gate near the terrace and make your way into our restaurant through the front door. You may then collect your pet from the gate enjoy the rest of your dining experience. If your pet requires a bowl of water, please let us know!
